Tristan Madani is a PhD student at the SECAN-Lab within the Computer Science and Communications research unit since 2018.

He discovered computers when he was a young boy and was immediately fascinated by the creative power of programming - which he still enjoys more than 20 years later - and soon dove into the security universe to learn how to write both stable and secure code and shortly after to look for security issues in other codes, which was even more challenging to him.

Naturally, he had his first professional experiences as a developer (including VB, Delphi, C, C++, C#, Java, x86 ASM, PHP, Perl, Python) both independent and employed, but he also previously worked as systems engineer (Windows, Linux, UNIX), IAM (Identity and Access Management) specialist (later promoted to Technical IAM Application Manager for the same international firm) and also as network security engineer.

His work and research now focuses on information security, benefiting from all his previous experiences to perform secure architecture design, advanced penetration testing (OSCP certified), digital forensics and malware reverse engineering (GREM certified) and other security-related research and teaching.
